On April 18, 2009, a wonderful fundraiser was held in North Carolina to benefit the Foundation. Rob Mawyer, owner of the Hiawassee Yacht Club and Boat House, paired with DJ Mikellah Makepeace of 95.1 Radio held a raffle and auction to raise money for the Foundation. Their efforts raised several thousand dollars to benefit our clients and we are MOST grateful! Thank you so much, we love you!!!
Possible Dream made the news!! The Miami branch of the Foundation made the Neighbors for Neighbors segment of CBS Channel 4 on both February 2 and February 9. The piece featured a wonderful community outreach project that we were the benefit of! On February 7, we had 100 high school students and a slew of other volunteers come to the Foundation loaded down with paint and supplies to touch up the homes and do basic repairs before our state inspection February 10. We could not have done it without the generosity of all of the volunteers, as well as Home Depot for donating supplies and Kathy Shabathai for organizing the event.
